I've decided to post this to address some rumors why the site is up and what's going on with RCG. I brought the site up because I don't like broken things and even tho you still can't order anything, there's no reason for the site to be down.
Unfortunately, the RCG as a business is not coming back. As ashamed I am that this has happened, partly thru my own negligence, my partner in Russia stole alot of money and brought the business to a point where I couldn't even refund the outstanding orders right away. I've been steadily sending refunds back the last year and I hope to have the last penny refunded by the end of Summer 2008.
I'm sorry it took so much time, and twice as sorry I didn't make a reserve fund in just such a case. I'm selling some of the returns and/or movie props I have in Vancouver, BC on eBay, all the money from those sales will be put towards refunds.
Thanks for the patience and understanding which most of the RCG customers have shown, I wish I could do better guys. |

We have stopped taking new orders from today, July 17th. We will be fulfilling the orders placed before today, and will reopen again on September 4th. We will use this down-time to work on the backend to allow better and easier order management to ensure prompt communication with customers on out-of-stock items. |

We were so busy in October we had totally forgotten about our 3-years birthday. We'd like to thank all of our customers which made us (by far) the best ranked Russian Gear e-tailer.
We have set up the holiday schedule for the Year-end holidays this year. We will be taking orders all thru the holidays, however due to nature of business in Russia we will not be shipping the merchandise from December 20th thru to January 15th.
We've also had an unfortunate malfulnction of the mail-server last weekend -- if you have submitted an enquiry thru the web form or sent us an e-mail and HAVE NOT received an automated response with the ticket number -- please resubmit/resend your e-mail. |

Some improvements to the server code. Visit your account page for the detailed view of your previous and current orders. If you go into the order details -- you can now see the status of each product within your order as well as all the comments added to your order.
We have also fixed the sizing/options sorting issue, please give us a shout should something be displayed incorrectly. |

Grad-2 and Grad-2 Gunner are back in stock. The Grad-2 and Grad-2 Gunner backorders will be shipping within the next few days. While we're on the subject of Grad-2 -- the current batch of the Daypacks has been made from a fabric which is clearely different color that the Grad-2 vests themselves. The former is brownish, the latter is OD Green. Since the next batch of Daypacks won't be made until Spring (and since the Army/MVD take them as is), we will be shipping these "discolored" Daypacks (which are an option for Grad-2).
Also, the V-95 vest will no longer be available in the Kamysh-Urban pattern, there're still a few sets left, if you were thinking of V-95 in Kamysh-Urban pattern -- now is the time to place an order. Add the V-95/Kamysh to the shopping cart and in the comments during check-out indicate you want the Kamysh-Urban instead. |

Due to the new legislation being put in force in Russia regarding the military equipment, clothing and accessories, the Russian Combat Gear will temporarily cease the new sales of these products until the sufficient clarification on the new law is received.
It is an important step we are taking in order to both protect the privacy of our customers and not to jeopardize our business in future. While we will be fulfilling the previously received orders we will not be taking any new orders from individuals until further notice.
