Sometimes we're being asked which products are best suited to re-create the authentic look of certain regiment or detachment.

While there're some regulations for the gear used in the Army, FSB (ex-KGB) and Interior Forces (MVD), they are not being strictly enforced at the moment and select units/regiments outfit themselves with whatever suits them the best.

Keeping this in mind, we gather the following is being used the most.

FSB (KGB) Spetsnaz Operative

Field

• Gorka-R BDU or Gorka-S BDU or Partizan Suit or Other Camo/Sniper Suit
• Kosynka or Maska or Other Headgear
• Light Telnyashka Shirt or Other undershirt/underwear
• Officer BDU Belt
• Raingear
• Army Recon/Intelligence Insignia Set or Army VDV (Airborne) Insignia Set (to blend in)
• Smersh (upcoming) webbing or Triton M43 or SOM M32-PHT or Vydra-3M or Other webbing/vest

VDV (Airborne/Paras)

Field

• 4C BDU (upcoming) or Flora BDU (either -- with the bottom jacket pockets off) or M7 BDU or Noch 91 BDU
• Para soft helmet (upcoming) or Other Headgear
• Light Telnyashka Shirt
• Officer BDU Belt or Soldier BDU Belt
• Army VDV (Airborne) Insignia Set
• Airborne Assault Pack RD-54 or M21 LBV

Garrison

• Headgear is replaced with the blue Beret with proper insignia

Elite VDV (Airborne/Paras) Units
